How We are Involved
As a congregation, we spend the entire year collecting items to fill shoeboxes. Every month is an opportunity to give something different from small toys to hygiene products.
Over the last few years God has really grown our involvement in this ministry. Not only are we now sending over 500 boxes to children all over the world, we have become a drop off location for our area.
Along with each box Samaritan’s Purse delivers comes an invitation to learn more about Jesus through a program called The Greatest Journey. We are so excited to be part of this ministry and share the love of Christ with these children.
How You Can Get Involved
There are multiple opportunities that you can take part in.
Sponsor A Box- Each box we send needs $10 included to cover postage. With the over 500 boxes we send that number really adds up. You can help defray that cost by “sponsoring” a box. To make it easier we are asking for donations in $10.00 increments. You can donate this way by noting it on your tithe or through our giving option on the website.
Gather Materials- We have several ladies who craft special items to put in the boxes including bottle caps (for tic tac toe games) and old clean t-shirts (to make jump ropes with). These items can be brought to the church.
Purchase Items- This month we are specifically collecting toys, stuffed animals, and balls. Any item that you find is welcomed as well.
